My absolutely totally favourite thing

A few weeks back, I asked the lovely Cam of Curlypops fame if she would make a bag for me from one of my new finches teatowels. I am already the proud owner and user of a special Curlypops teatowel bag, so I know how great they are.

Long story short, she said yes, but kept everything a little bit secret after that, and look what arrived in a HUGE box last Friday!

And here’s the other side in a shot of it’s new habitat, my room…

(Notice, no curtains yet MMMC and Annie, and as a result of the reorganisation of my room and the house I now have my lovely fabric-covered desk as a ‘dressing table’. I haven’t had a ‘dressing table’ since I was about 12. Love it too. I don’t know why you don’t see more tissue boxes in home style photos… oh, maybe because they actually have style-ists!)

There were a number of ‘happy accidents’ when Cam made this bag for me… she’s lined up the edge of the image with the top band of the bag, she’s featured my signature from the artwork just above her Curlypops label, and the inside is the loveliest blue floral… she’s got some more great photos here.

And here’s a ridiculous self-portrait of my giddy happy face which hopefully says the word THANK YOU a thousand times Cam!

The bag is a beautiful collaboration between artist and bag designer/maker. Enjoy! x

    I love your dressing table.

Cam has done a wonderful job … I need to get back to her about my own commission. She’s very good and your tea towel looks wonderful as a bag.

I forgive you re curtains … but will wait patiently to see what eventuates.

Yah! I’m so glad you liked it. I love the birdies and the flowers – just gorgeous.
I can’t wait to make mine – I can just imagine the amount of comments that I’ll get about my gorgeous finches bag.

What a brilliant collaboration! Love your dressing table too. I used to have a dressing table growing up too, but no where near as cool as yours! Maybe you could make a fabric tissue box cover to match…. I remember when I was in primary school Mum and I had a bit of a craze on making those….. maybe we could bring them back into fashion!

Absolutely love the bag and the finches. I’ve put them as one of Len’s favourite things on facebook, he hasn’t noticed yet. Just gorgeous.

Curtains, schmurtains! Just hang the bag in the window. Now do not let the laundry basket sneak into that room.
